Welcome Apéritif & Dinner

5:00pm Onwards

By this time we hope you are settled in and well rested. We’ll kick the weekend off with a tropical l’apéritif followed by a Caribbean dinner. This will be the first time many of our guests will be meeting each other. It’s a great joy and honour for us to finally bring our families and friends together.

Mehendi (Henna) Party

Day 2

November 1st

Sangeet

6:00pm Onwards

“Sangeet” translates to music. This event is a dance party, and truly the kick-off to an Indian wedding! There will be a show of choreographed dances in which we’ll be asking some of our friends and family to dance. We’ll take some time for speeches in-between. Afterwards the drinks and moves will be flowing. We can’t wait to hit the dance floor with all of you!

Is it your first Sangeet? Read about what to expect HERE.

Dress Code: Indian formal in dark sparkly tones. See the mood board for this event.

Baraat

3:00pm to 4:30pm

The Baraat is the grooms wedding procession that historically is meant to inform the bride that the groom has arrived. While there’s no religious significance to this event, it’s a way to ensure that we will happily enter our wedding with our beloved family and friends by our side.

There will be live music and dancing as we bring Vik to the Mandap (wedding altar).

You can read more about the Baraat HERE.

Dress Code: You’ll be dressed for the wedding and reception that will follow right afterward.

Day 3

November 2nd

Day 3 - November 2nd

Wedding & Reception

4:30pm Onwards (Sunset 5:39pm)

Golden hour at the Mandap! We’ll take our Pheras (circles around the fire). Each round is deeply symbolic, representing vows, promises, and the stages of a marriage. Once completed we will seek blessings from our families and friends as a married couple.

There will be time for sunset photos followed by a formal reception and dinner. The end of the night will signify the end of our wedding festivities.

Dress Code: Indian resort wear in pastels. Please see the mood board for this event.

Can you make it?

Please tell us by Sunday, June 1st!
